Adult Board Meeting - monthly
This mighty chapter is run fully by volunteers. These volunteers make up our Board and meet once a month for a hybrid meeting. There are a variety of positions that tap into various interests and capacities… so there’s something for everyone!

Coldest Night of the Year!
Every year, CISV Waterloo participates in the National Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser. This event is organized by Ray of Hope and collects money for those in need in our local KW community.
JB Activity - there will be an event prior to the walk just for the youth starting at 2:30pm.
CNOY Walk - The youth then join everyone else for the walk that starts around 4:30pm. To join our CISV Waterloo ‘team’ and fundraise for Ray of Hope, please check out THIS LINK.

Cookie-a-thon!
Keep the yummy tradition going! All CISV youth are invited to join our annual Cookie-a-thon! We start baking at 7pm on Friday January 24th and don’t stop until Sunday January 25th at 9:30am!
All the cookies made are donated to a local homeless shelter.
While the youth aren’t making the cookies, they are participating an activities and games. A fun overnight for all!
Note: A Parent Update Meeting will be held for 15 minutes at drop off on the Friday evening. Please plan to come.

Seminar Applications due
Seminar is a 3 week camp for ages 16 and 17. The application process is slightly different than the other CISV opportunities as it is all decided at the National level.
There are Seminar camps held in the summer of 2025 as well as winter 2025. Some of the locations include Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, Spain and Thailand!

Leader/Staff Application Deadline
A great CISV experience starts with great leaders and staff, and we do our best to make sure ours are amazing!
CISV Waterloo LEADERS and STAFF are carefully selected from applicants who are 21 or over (before date of travel), demonstrate a strong interest in the goals and philosophy of CISV, and have the maturity and experience to handle the responsibilities assigned to them.

Selection Days
Saturday November 16th from 9:30am-3:30pm AND Sunday November 17th from 9:30am-12noon.
Selection Days are for youth that are interested in travelling with CISV Waterloo.
These two days are filled with energizers, opportunities to interact with all the applicants and typical peace-based CISV activities. During the Selection Days, the Selection Committee observes all of the youth to help guide their decision process.

Brighten up your home with a poinsettia!
This fundraiser’s profit will go directly to the costs of hosting a Seminar Camp this summer. Every bit helps, so thanks!
The poinsettias come in RED, WHITE and PINK.

Orders need to be submitted through ZEFFY by November 14th.

Coldest Night of the Year
This one is for the whole family!
Join CISV Waterloo as we participate in Ray of Hope’s annual fundraiser - Coldest Night of the Year. Ray of Hope is a shelter in downtown Kitchener who supports people and families experiencing homelessness, hurt and hunger in our community.
Youth Activity will take place at Rockway Mennonite Church - 47 Onward, Kitchener at 2:30pm.
The youth will walk over to Ray of Hope - 659 King Street, Kitchener at 4:30pm.
The CNOY 5km walk begins at 5pm.
